No, Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma are distinct national societies, but here at Texas Tech University it was decided that both organizations would become and operate as one

No, the ALD/PES organization understands that being an excellent college students requires dedication and commitment to academics. However, our organization offers many opportunities for its members to be as active as they wish to be. Members choose their commitment to the organization at their own discretion but ALD/PES will however encourage involvement from all members and will take into consideration attendance for local scholarships. For those who can not make general meetings, ALD/PES will write minutes and summaries of what was discussed at the meeting. You can find those on the left navigation bar.

Once initiated, you will have a lifetime membership to both societies, even if your GPA falls in future semesters.

While Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma is considered a Greek letter organization, we are an honor society, not a social greek organization. We encourage for our members to be involved with the community and campus, so rushing greek social fraternities and sororities is encouraged. Many of our officers are also involved with the greek system at Texas Tech University.
